I guess rich folk like Warren Buffet, Bill and Hillary and others who keep saying we should all pay more taxes because the government really needs the money and they can afford to, don't know that if it's really THAT important, they can take a big chunk of their wealth and make it a Gift to the United States.

My father, (estates and trusts lawyer)explained to me why the very wealthy, often spout socialist.
Often they invest their millions in state and municipal bonds-after all they have made their$ and tax benefits are better for them than risk + short term ca. gain tax rates. other reasons too numerous to go into.
I don't mind people reducing their tax burden by playing it smart with their money.
What I do mind are those rich folk who are, telling me that I should be paying more simply because THEY can afford to.
That's what Buffet and his ilk are doing.
If the common good they're so fond of touting is that important, or the deficit so bad, why don't they cough up a bigger chunk of their own money instead of trying to reach into my pocket for mine.
Or your pocket for yours.
Me thinks that's called hypocrisy.
