A Cool Change
If there's one thing in my life that's missing, It's the time that I spend alone, Standing by the cool and bright clear water. It's kind of a special feeling, When you're out by the sea alone, Staring at the full moon like a lover. - Little River Band.

(How Al Gore Tried to Steal the Election)

The most annoying thing about taxes are the peeps who make a fuckload of money complaining that taxes are "killing them." (I'm talking peeps who make a hundred grand a MONTH.)
The paperback version of the Fair Tax book [a revision of the hard cover one with about 5K words of additional material) is due out in about two weeks.
If whoever was bitching about taxes killing 'em now, well if if were enacted and they did it again you could smile VERY sweetly and say, "Dang. You should have bought a pre-owned yacht like I did instead of that new one."
Or maybe, "Dang. You should have bought a pre-owned home instead of that new one."
Or maybe you wouldn't have to hear them moan and groan at all anymore 'round April 15 because it, and for everyone, would be just another day.
No such thing as fair taxes for us commoners ... I sure hope the Fair Tax thing gains ground amongst the public, last year they took 38% of my income up here ... and I only make about 60 grand a year.. ... :-(
Paula, the most annoying thing about the graduated income tax is the people who are jealous that people make a 100 grand a week and think that they have the right to part of it..thus the graduated income tax.
The only fair tax is a consummer tax. Those who consume pay the taxes and those who do not consume as much pay less.
