Mama lied
Sickly kid that I was, Mom always told me not to worry about her catching whatever I had because mothers never caught anything from their kids.
I figured out a long time ago that she LIED and once again I'm FORCED to recognize that falsehood.
Da Kid may have gotten over IT a week ago, but now I've got IT.
I feel like shit.

No, Jenna, it doesn't. They're bigger so naturally, the bugs they share are too. Then they look at their mama and filled with amazement that we DO actually get sick say something like, "Jeez, you look like shit. Go lay down and try to get some slee . . . Mom, do you know where I left my textbook?"
Odd. I don't remember my mother being sick, ever, but I always got whatever the kids got. Maybe I just wasn't observant.
