Police have now recovered the body of nine-year-old Jessica Lunsford.
Volunteers and police searched for three weeks for the little girl who’d disappeared from her home without a trace. Posters tacked up on telephone poles, handouts, family members questioned by the police and interviewed by the media endlessly. Pleas from the family to anyone who might have any information or knowledge.

There are so many cases like this, it just eats at my soul.
I'm having the hardest time realizing our homes are no longer the safe havens they were. I can deal with our neighborhoods, our citys/towns hell, even our schools. But Our Homes! My mind has a very difficult time grasping that.
Out babies are our future. Just how do we keep them safe anymore?
There's a lot of sadness in this world ... but nothing even comes close to the tragedy of an innocent child's life being snatched away. Nothing.
I am NOT surprise by the killem all mentality Ive read on theses post,but lets back up a little please.Reality and facts tell a different story.I am a board certified Md. I treat over 400 sexoffenders annually.What i have to say might alarm you,But its time to set the record straight.In Florida I have logged 10,000 hrs of research regarding sexoffenders as well as Preadators.I foound that A Sex offender has only a 1.5% recidivism rate while predators have a 88% rate of repeat sexual offences.AND 98% of ALL sexoffenders were .....YES "THE PARENTS".I constantly hear totally WRONG info coming from the police as well as the media.How can we keep our children safe with misleading sensationalized HYPE?We Cant Can WE? If you Truly want to help Please Get the information do the research. On another note I found that Floridas website listed 18,000 ppl who were never convicted of the crime as well as 1,246 who were never accused of a sex based crime.Also florida is counting any registration violation as a sex crime and adding it as 1 to the criminal activity numbers.
